FAQ's

  • What is the cost?
    Every event is so different. Price is based on guest count, bar rental and duration of the event. Contact us to get a quote for your event. We currently accept cash, check, barter, and all major credit and debit cards. We also have payment plans available!

  • What if I don’t want to serve alcohol at my event? No Problem! We can serve mocktails or any beverage you prefer!

  • Are you insured?
    Absolutely! And we are TIPS Certified through the State of Michigan. Proofs can be provided upon request.

  • Are permits required?
    It is your responsibility to inquire about and obtain any proper licenses and permits that may be needed for the event. 

  • What are the set up requirements?
    We will need a15x15ft space for the Bar Trailer and a10x10ft space for the Freestanding Bar, a standard 110v outlet and flat ground. We have alternative options if power is not available.

  • Does your service include alcohol?

    No, we just serve it. But, we provide EVERYTHING else. The state of Michigan will not issue a liquor license without a brick-and-mortar location, which means, unfortunately, us mobile guys can’t provide the booze. We will however work very closely with you to create your perfect drink menu and estimate how much beer, wine, and alcohol you will need. The host of the event will have to make the alcohol purchase separately from The Fully Loaded Barge Mobile Bar. Due to Michigan Liquor Control Commission guidelines, cash bars are PROHIBITED.

  • Do we have to use your bartenders?

    You won't hurt our feelings if you are working with a caterer for your event. They are more than welcome to staff and stock the bar. We just have to approve the caterer prior to the event. Remember when you rent a bar from us you are responsible for any damage so make sure you are comfortable with the caterer and their staff. 

  • Can we decorate the bar?
    Yes please! We love to dress up the bar with flowers, balloons, marquee letters, or anything you want. We can work with you to dress her to the nines or put us in touch with your planner to work out all the details. We just ask that you be respectful and always ask before fastening or sticking anything to the bar. 

  • How far do we travel?
    Included in your rental is 60 miles round trip from zip code 49241.  Events outside of that will be an additional charge of $0.20/mile there and back. If your location is 2 or more hours travel time from 49241, a fee to cover hotel accommodations may also be required. We serve mid-southern michigan, northern indiana & northern ohio. Give us a call and we can customize a quote depending on your location.

  • Are we limited to your signature cocktail list or is there flexibility on different recipes?
    You can give us your list of cocktail choices or you can choose from our list! In person tasting is a great way to come up with cocktails that you and your guests will love.

  • What if I need to change the number of guests attending my event?

    You may add additional guests only if there are bars and bartenders still available. The sooner you inquire, the better the chances that we can make sure the staff and bars are available.

  • How early should I book?
    Of course we suggest reserving your date as soon as you can. But even if your event is coming up soon, still reach out, as we can let you know if your date is available. We require a signed contract and a 50% deposit to book your reservation.

  • What is the process of hiring a mobile bar? We do everything we can to make your event easier for you. Our process is super simple. From start to finish: Inquiry, Booking, Planning, Shopping, Enjoy your event! That's it!

Liability...(THE MOST IMPORTANT)

There is a certain level of responsibility that comes with serving alcohol. When you hire professional bartenders, you take some of this stress off of yourself. Because we are a legitimate business, we are required to have certification and insurance. Also, we have the experience that makes us the perfect fit for your event. Each bartender is trained to identify when someone has had too much to drink and can help prevent any incidents related to overconsumption.

They will also ensure that guests under 21 are not served alcohol.

There are a lot of little details that you don't realize that go along with hosting a bar and hiring a professional to do it for you can be a huge time saver, stress eliminator. Not to mention, what will you do with all that bar stuff when your event is over?

The Cost...

Having a professional bartender makes it easier to run a limited open bar. This means the costs associated with supplying drinks can be limited much easier.

The normal cost for an open bar is $50-60/person. But with our services you end up spending significantly less than you will at a venue.

We bring everything...

From the bar to the bartenders, drinkware, ice, straws, napkins, equipment, tools, experience and insurance to garnishes and mixers. You only have to provide the alcohol. We are the perfect solution for events where you want to provide your guests with a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
